 1) What do you charge for a gutter cleaning?

The price is determined by how much time we spend cleaning and servicing your gutters. Our rate is based off a minimum that covers the first man hour of labor. Once we have exceeded the first hour, we pro-rate the rest of the job based on $100/hour.

 2) How often should I have my gutters cleaned?

This is a tricky question because every job is unique. If your house is situated on a wooded lot, it's common to have your gutters serviced 4 to 6 times per year. An average house on a lightly wooded lot should be cleaned 3 to 4 times a year. Regular servicing will ensure that your gutters will perform even during heavy rain which helps prevent overflowing and water damage. 

3) I have gutter covers, how often should I have my gutters cleaned?

With quality covers, expect one or two cleanings a year. I have many customers with covers that I clean twice a year and each time the gutters are full of debris. The biggest lie in the gutter business is “put covers on your gutters and never clean them again”. What they should say is “put covers on your gutters and clean them less often”. Covers only reduce the number of cleanings, they do NOT eliminate them.

4) Do you recommend having gutter covers installed?

This depends on your particular lot. With a minimum number of trees, I personally think regular gutter servicing is more efficient and cost effective than having gutter covers. However, if you find yourself on a wooded lot, there may be a need for covers. You can save up to 3 or 4 cleanings per year with decent covers. Because debris tends to sit on top of covers, you will still need them serviced twice a year.

5) Does Peg Leg Gutters install gutter covers?

Yes, we install covers to fit both 5" & 6" gutters. We recommend the LockOn covers and ShurFlo step down cover. Both covers are reasonably affordable, keep out most debris, sticks, branches & leaves.

6) Does Peg Leg Gutters install 5" & 6" gutters and downspouts?

Yes, we install both size seamless .032 grade aluminum gutters and downspouts in an array of colors. Call for a free estimate. 

7) Can I sign up for one or multiple cleanings per year and is there a discount for this?

Yes, click on the “Become a Premium Customer” tab to sign up for a service plan. Discounts start at 4 cleanings per year. Peg Leg will discount all 4 cleanings by 10%, 5 cleanings or more will reduce your price by 15% per cleaning.

8) Are your licensed and insured?

Yes to both. Peg Leg Gutters is fully licensed and insured

9) WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO you ACCEPT?

We accept credit cards (visa & master card), venmo, zelle, checks and we are still accepting CASH. After all work is performed we will email an invoice with instructions on how to pay your invoice and provide a link to pay with your credit card.
